local case study
SpainFamily-run Geisa Fabrics, a fabric producer for more than 50 years, was looking for a renewables-based solution to its energy needs. After exploring the client’s requirements in detail, BayWa r.e. recommended a three-tiered solution that would complement the company’s existing Burgos factory co-generation system.
The three different technologies applied for this location were roof-top PV, a ground-mounted PV installation and a solar carport including a charging station for e-mobility.
With a power of up to 820 kW in total, the resulting PV-based integrated energy solution is distributed between the warehouse roof, a ground-mounted installation located on a plot of land adjacent to the factory and a solar carport which provides three charging stations for electric vehicles. This installation was financed via a leasing model, without the requirement for any initial investment by the customer.
