Part of the largest Pan-European renewable PPA in history

This solar plant together with VERBUND Solar Park Pinos Punete, another 150 MWp PV installation that BayWa r.e. built in Granada, supplies renewable energy to AB InBev, the world's largest beer brewer and owner of the Budweiser brand, to produce 100% green beer.

The sale of electricity is secured thanks to a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) that BayWa r.e. and AB InBev signed in 2021 in the largest Pan-European solar PPA in history which covers 14 breweries in Western Europe and more than 50 brands across 12 countries.

In January 2022 BayWa r.e. completed the sale of Archidona to Encavis Asset Management AG, in the first investment of the leading Renewable Energy investor in Spain.
