Poblete

Ground-mounted

installation

20 MWp

of installed capacity

5,700 t/year

of CO₂ emissions reduced

The 20 MWp project uses bifacial modules and one-single axis trackers. The solar park generates around 37.5 GWh of solar energy avoiding the emission of approximately 5,700 tons of CO2 per year.

Poblete was sold to L&G NTR Clean Power Fund, fund managed by Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), global asset manager, and NTR, focused on renewable energies.

As compensatory measures we have carried out the following actions:

- Adjacent vegetation screen.

- Green screen on the greenway

- Vegetation screen between the greenway and the high speed line.

- Installation of information panels

- Conditioning actions in Maar Hoya Mortero. This initiative consists of the construction of a wooden walkway with a handrail and explanatory signs to disseminate scientific and environmental information and provide detailed information about the area.

In addition, a pedestrian crossing and parking area will be established, as well as plantings along the path to guide access in a safe manner. This project is carried out in collaboration with the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha, which guarantees a didactic approach and a sustainable management of this valuable natural resource.

We have already placed two interpretative and educational boards on the margin of the greenway, one explaining the characteristics of the different species used in the plant screen; and the other explaining the main characteristics of the solar plant and a brief explanation of a photovoltaic cell.
