Lirios Solar Park
A BayWa r.e. Project
At the forefront of efficient and sustainable solar power production
Located in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, in the Province of Huelva, Lirios is situated in the municipality of Chucena, just 40 kilometers northwest of Seville. With a capacity of nearly 110 MWp, Lirios is one of BayWa r.e.’s largest projects in the country. With this output, it will generate enough electricity to power over 59,000 households.
Equipped with JA Solar's monocrystalline bifacial modules of 575 MWp and 580 MWp, Lirios consists of a total of 189,648 modules. The structure used is PVH Monoline 2V, an advanced technology of single-axis solar tracking.

Project Timeline
Our activities in the local community
At BayWa r.e., we are actively committed to environmental conservation and biodiversity. Since the beginning of this project, we have been actively carrying out various initiatives in support of the local community in collaboration with the Andalusian Regional Government.
In line with our commitment, we have secured the rental of 150 hectares of land to contribute to the Recovery and Conservation Plan for Steppe Birds known as "Campos de Tejada," established by the Department of Environment and Land Planning of the Andalusian Regional Government.
Sale closure to Encavis AG
We have completed the sale of Lirios to leading independent power producer (IPP) Encavis AG. In contrast to traditional sales at the commercial operation date, Lirios was sold before being on ready-to-build stage.
This deal marks another chapter in the long-standing collaboration between BayWa r.e. and Encavis AG, who have joined forces to deliver various solar and wind ventures throughout Spain and Europe. In 2022, we jointly closed the sale of the Archidona solar park in Málaga.
We are committed to continuing to drive the development of clean energy projects and to continue collaborating with strategic partners like Encavis AG to promote the adoption of renewable energy sources worldwide.
