Energy storage, the future of sustainability

We achieve a more efficient energy transition, optimising the sources of renewable energy.

BESS use batteries to store electricity and release it when it is needed. This system helps to balance energy supply and demand, optimising the use of renewable sources.

Thanks to our experience in the sector, BayWa r.e. develop both standalone battery storage systems and hybrid systems, all of which comply with the requirements and regulations in force. Globally, we manage a portfolio of over 3 GW in projects currently under development.

Promote energy storage with BayWa r.e.

We are working on developing large-scale stationary storage systems. These systems can be coupled with wind and photovoltaic energy or operate independently. How can we help you?

  • We design made-to-measure projects and comprehensively manage the development and the installation of storage systems.

  • We take care of the planning, technical design, and execution of the project.

  • Our advanced maintenance plans, continuous monitoring, and local support ensure the smooth operation of BESS, as well as connected wind and solar projects.

About our Spitalhöfe project

The 8-hectare Spitalhöfe Solar Park in Pfaffenweiler, Germany, entered operation in May 2022. Now, its 7.3 MWp of installed capacity is generating around 8 million kWh of green electricity per year.
