Picón is a 49.6 MWp photovoltaic project located in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, being the second project we develop in the region.
With a total area of about 90 hectares, the plant has a single-axis tracking system. The energy produced is equivalent to the annual savings of more than 70,000 tons of CO2. This is enough electricity to supply around 25,000 homes.

Part of a PPA with Nestlé
The project is part of a power purchase agreement (PPA) that BayWa r.e. signed in 2022 with Nestlé, the Swiss multinational. Thanks to this 10-year agreement, the world's leading company in the food and beverage sector, can supply itself with the electricity generated by the new solar park.
This project was sold to L&G NTR Clean Power Fund, fund managed by Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), global asset manager, and NTR, focused on renewable energies.
The ecological corridor of BayWa r.e.
This ecological corridor will contribute to the reforestation and sustainable development of the area.
The corridor will consist of 104 holm oaks, 28 ash trees, 63 brooms and 14 oleanders. The plants come from a nursery registered in the Register of Nursery Plant Producers of the Autonomous Community of Castile-La Mancha, official nurseries or other equally legalised nurseries.
BayWa r.e.'s ecological corridor will be 700 metres long and will be located around the Picón solar park.
