This project is a 41.7 MWp photovoltaic plant located in Valladolid that generates around 74 GWh per year, enough energy to supply electricity to over 18,000 Spanish households. With a total area of about 90 hectares, the plant combines a fixed-tilt system design with tracker technology.
This innovative sigle-axis system that was developed by BayWa r.e. and Zimmermann is the first to be powered by its own chain modules.

Local Commitment
We have reached an agreement with the Ministry of Education in Castile and Leon to carry out an internship program for young people in the region and at the moment, we have a student doing his internship on a higher degree training cycle of Industrial Mechatronics.
Biodiversity measures
Tordesillas has become a suitable habitat for animals and vegetation and it currently has over 500 sheep grazing in the plant. We have used a technique to reduce the land occupation and we use a hunting mesh to allow the transit of livestock.
