Gerena I, Gerena II and Chamorro Solar Parks
A BayWa r.e. Project
Gerena I
Located in the municipalities of Alcalá del Río and Salteras in Seville, Spain, the Gerena I solar park is set to play a vital role in advancing renewable energy in the region. It has a total capacity of 50 MWp and an estimated annual production of 99 GWh.
Covering an area of 115 hectares, Gerena I will utilize PV ground-mounted technology, incorporating both single-axis trackers and fixed-tilt systems to maximize efficiency.
Gerena II & Chamorro
Based in Guillena, Seville, Gerena II & Chamorro are two ground-mounted PV plants with a total capacity of 61 MWp. Spanning 106 hectares, the plants will have an estimated annual production of 125 GWh supplying green energy to some 32,000 Spanish households.
Both Gerena II and Chamorro have been energised and are currently in operation. Both projects have been sold to KGAL Investment Management, underlining the company's commitment to driving the energy transition across Europe.
Partnering with Velux for a greener future
